Earned on a valid trip by being the first in a party to locate a geocache using a GPS and cache sense, while employing limited assistance of others.
The Treasure Hunter is earned by successfully locating a geocache in Harriman. Part of the goal of this assignment is to promote geocaching and to encourage Harrimaniacs to learn how to operate a GPS. While there may be several people present when a cache is located, a Harrimaniac must be the first individual to locate the cache on that day to complete this assignment. Essentially this means only one Harrimaniac can complete this assignment per cache per trip.
